Delete my account

You can permanently delete your Spelling Test account and the personal data we hold about you at any time. There are two ways:

1. From inside the app (fastest)

1. Open the app.
2. Go to Account.
3. Tap Delete account at the bottom of the screen.
4. Confirm. Your account is removed immediately and personal data within 30 days.

2. By email

This option applies if you added an email to your account: email [email protected] from that address and include your username. We will confirm and remove your account within 30 days. If you never added an email, please use the in-app method above (and include your username if you contact us, so we can locate the account).

What gets deleted

• Your account record (username, email, password hash, display name, avatar)
• Your game sessions and stats (XP, streaks, scores)
• Feedback you submitted (unless we still need it to investigate an open issue)
• Any subscription / purchase records linked to your user, on a 30-day rolling delete

What may be retained

• Aggregated, non-identifying play statistics (used to improve word lists)
• Records we are required by law to retain (e.g., tax records of past purchases — kept for the legally required period)

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel your active subscription. To stop future charges, cancel through Google Play or the Apple App Store as described in our Subscription Terms.
